I earned my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy. D.) with a focus on Child and Adolescence from Adler University in Chicago, IL, an APA-accredited institution. Licensed in Colorado (PSY.0004910), I honed my expertise in Trauma-Informed care through hands-on experience in the non-profit sector. This involved delivering Trauma Systems Therapy to families grappling with interpersonal trauma. I collaborated with social services, schools, medical and mental health providers, and community partners. Trained as a Trauma-Informed Yoga Therapist (TIYT), I conducted training sessions and psychotherapy groups for adolescents and adults in this modality within the community mental health setting. My professional journey reflects a commitment to diversity, having served individuals across various rural and urban settings, irrespective of their resource levels. I’ve worked with clients of all ages through individual, group, couples, and family therapy. Additionally, I am a certified parent educator and facilitator of Positive Discipline, offering individual parent coaching and groups.
As a Certified Yoga Teacher (200-hour), my yoga journey blends seamlessly with psychotherapy, serving as both self-care and a therapeutic tool. I’ve taught diverse yoga classes, including level 1-2 power yoga, kids yoga, restorative yoga, Christian yoga, and Trauma Informed Yoga. The name Grounded Resilience encapsulates my personal and professional wellness philosophy. Grounded in the belief that authentic self-expression and presence enable better adaptability to adversity, I emphasize the interconnectedness of physical and emotional well-being. Through intervention at multiple levels, I help individuals uncover the stories held in their bodies, foster a sense of belonging in their social environments, and empower them to find purpose and meaning.
