Mudras as simply symbolic hand gestures used in yoga that focus our attention on a particular intention.
Mudras connect the brain to the body, ease pain, stimulate endorphins, change the mood, and increase our energy.
There are almost 400 mudras with different intentions.
Here are a few mudras you can practice to support your health goals
GYAN MUDRA
To perform this mudra place your thumb and index finger together with other fingers extended.
Benefits include increased concentration, memory, reduced sleep disorders, reduced stress and anger, decreased depression and headache.
PRANA MUDRA
To perform this mudra place your thumb against the tip of your ring finger and little finger with your index and middle finger extended and connected.
Benefits include increased energy.
SURYA RAVI MUDRA (Shown in picture above)
To perform connect the thumb and tip of the ring finger together, extending all other fingers.
Benefits include increased balance and positivity.
