Congratulations, you made it to 2021!!!
This past year brought unexpected challenges to so many people with a pandemic and a National election. Despite our differences, we managed to survive it and may have even gained some valuable insight into what really matters to us as individuals and as a nation.
It is clear to me that now more than ever just how RESILIENT we are.
As we start a new year, I have found myself reflecting on the past year and thinking about what goals I want to accomplish in 2021.
I think that in order to know where we are going and what we want to accomplish, we need to know who we are and where we have been.
In the past year, I have:
-
Launched a full time private practice in Clinical Psychology
-
Navigated the transition to telehealth during a global pandemic
-
Obtained certification as a Complex Trauma Professional- Level 2
-
Learned some AWESOME new recipes : P for a stay at home Thanksgiving
-
Partnered with local community organizations such as True Point Church and rediscovered the strength of faith in living a resilient life and encouraging others
-
Taught parenting classes in Positive Discipline and launched the Resilient Parent Newsletter as well as weekly Positive Discipline Tips on Instagram
-
Found out I was pregnant with MY FIRST CHILD!!
-
Obtained certification in prenatal/postnatal/and mommy and me yoga and USED IT (Yes, there was a lot of Yoga Nidra napping)
-
Taught Trauma Informed Yoga Classes privately and online
We are not segmented human beings, rather we bring all aspects of ourselves to the table in every relationship. I am a psychologist, a yogi, a Christian, a parent educator, a wife, and a pregnant woman soon to be a new momma in March!
As I move into 2021, I want more than ever to live a Resilient Life and I would love to share my journey with you (as a whole person)!!
Resilience is not the ability to do everything perfectly. It is the ability to get back up faster when you have fallen down and learn from your mistakes.
I have certainly made a lot of mistakes in the past year and will probably continue to do so in the years to come.
As I launch the Resilient Life Newsletter, I hope that you will join me in the courage to be imperfect and let me know what you want to see more of or less of by completing the survey below.
